Another windy day at the Estuary

Windsurfing
Another windy day windsurfing at the estuary (duck pond) in Exmouth. The estuary is  a blessing for South Coast windsurfers as it is excellent in a North Westerly wind, most place are off shore, Pagham is another good north west venue. The duck pond works really well 2-3 hours before high tide and a couple more after the tide, depending upon the range of the tides and what lows or highs are acting upon it.

Exciting Revival Update: Exmouth Camp Springs to Life Once Again! Welcome back, adventurers, and explorers! The much-loved Exmouth Camp, a cornerstone of childhood memories for generations from Bristol and beyond, is set to reopen its doors in May 2024, now rebranded as Red Rock Adventure Camp. As we gear up for this exciting new chapter, we want to take you on a journey through the incredible transformations and enhancements that have breathed new life into this iconic site. A Winter of Transformation This past winter has been a hive of activity at Exmouth Camp. Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to revamp the facilities, ensuring that the legacy of the camp not only continues but flourishes. Buildings that once stood tired and overgrown are now vibrant and welcoming spaces, each telling a story of the camp's rich history while looking forward to the adventures that await. The kitchen, the heart of any camp, has undergone a remarkable transformation, it stands ready to fuel the excitement and energy of visiting groups with nutritious and delicious meals. Grounds That Inspire Adventure As we move into the brighter days of spring, our focus shifts to the expansive grounds of the camp. Our vision is to create an environment that not only inspires adventure but also fosters a deep connection with nature. We are buzzing with excitement and anticipation for the upcoming season, especially as we prepare to welcome school groups for their summer adventure residentials. Red Rock Adventure Camp is more than just a camp; it's a launchpad for exploration, learning, and unforgettable experiences.

After a chilly start to spring 2023, the sun has finally arrived, and we intend to make the most of it. Look out for our hire banks, down at our estuary centre as always, but during half term and summer holiday, if the sun is shining we will be at Orcombe Point. Come along and hire sups or kayaks, or chat with the staff and get yourselves booked in for a lesson or family session and have some fun.

We enjoy hosting our residential school camp adventure weeks. There are so manyoutdoor activities for the students. We welcome from year 4 all the way to year 12. We also offer field study groups who may be looking at beach erosion, the Dawlish spit and the estuary. Kayaking, paddle board and archery tag are just a few of the adventures that your students will enjoy while on residential school camp with us.
