Out of the Classroom, Into Adventure
Adventure, Confidence & Memories: Summer at Redrock Outdoor

It has been another brilliant summer at Redrock Outdoor, with young people getting out on the water, challenging themselves on land and enjoying everything that comes with spending time outdoors.
Kayaking and paddleboarding remain right at the heart of what we do. For many young people, their visit to Redrock is their first experience of watersports. Some take to it immediately, others wobble, fall in, climb back aboard and try again. Either way, they leave having achieved something.
Back at camp, activities such as archery, team challenges and our other outdoor sessions give young people completely different opportunities to test themselves, work together and discover skills they may not even realise they have.
And that’s really what outdoor education is about.
It isn’t just about hitting a target or learning to paddle. It’s about confidence, independence, teamwork, resilience and having the courage to try something new.
Perhaps most importantly, it gives young people time away from screens, classrooms and everyday routines to simply enjoy being outside with their friends.
We’ve had some fantastic groups through Redrock this year and created plenty of memories along the way.
And while summer 2026 isn’t quite finished yet, we’re already looking ahead.
Our 2027 school residential calendar is filling quickly, so if your school is considering a residential, activity day or watersports experience next year, now is a great time to start the conversation.
Adventure. Challenge. Confidence. Memories.
That’s what Redrock is all about.
